I'd love to make the title track my theme song. Savages adore life, but don't pretend everything is wine and roses.
My spanish is still not the best, but even with the non-english songs on here, I can't help but be delighted and along for the ride. I feel like I just know what they're singing about. That's the power of music.

I have a playlist of all the albums released in 2016 that intrigue me and that's mostly what I listen to on shuffle throughout the year. Songs from this album always made me stop and listen.
These guys have been around for a while. I don't even know if these are old or new songs, but sorry I'm coming to them so late.
I don't usually have so many male singers on my list, but the attitude and excellent production on this album I can't deny.

My first favorite album of this year, I have been rocking to it since January. I dream about being in this band.
It's so difficult to craft a song that is catchy yet totally unique. These ladies do just that throughout this album, continually finding the sweetness and edginess of these energetic songs.
Kiwanuka made a huge leap forward with this album. It's epic and full of confidence in the way that Pink Floyd was in the 70s.
I met Starr Busby in 2015 through my friend S. Ryan Johnstone when I was looking for singers to be a part of The Singing Show. Starr was a guest on one of the best episodes and she later performed at my house concert series. Her performance of this song was one of the high points of the evening. We shot this video over the course of three days in my apartment on a shoestring budget.
